The Journey of Our Book Club (est. 2008)

The foundation of our little book club is based upon these ideas:

• You absolutely do not have to read the book (no stress, no pressure).

• We are always kind (in other words, no gossip, mean remarks, or judgment).

• If it's too stressful for you to host, then don't host.

• It's OK to dislike the book (these are usually the best discussions).

• Wine and cocktails, if possible, are always a hit.

• Anyone needing to use the meeting as a therapy session takes priority.

• Do not have more members than you have seats in your living room.

As a big believer in public libraries, my favourite movie quote is from Good Will Hunting, 1997. (please excuse the profanity)
